Jennifer and her family took their small martial arts school from 50 students and a few thousand dollars in revenue to an impressive $1,000,000 in just under 4 years.
After hitting the 7 Figure mark for over a decade, the pandemic of 2020 challenged martial arts schools all over the world.
During this uncertain time, school owners from around the globe reached out to Jennifer and her father, Tommy Seigler, for guidance on how to not just survive, but thrive under these difficult circumstances.
This inspired the creation of the 7 Figure Dojo program for martial arts school owners.
Now, Jennifer and her team help martial arts school owners from around the world transform their dojos into profitable businesses that provide a legacy for their families and students.
Through their hard work and dedication, these school owners are able to turn their passions into profitable, successful ventures.

TURN YOUR PASSION INTO PROFIT
Who wouldn’t love to turn their passion into a very profitable business? Often people are too scared to scale upwards from side hustling because they are too afraid that turning it into a full-time business will kill their passion for their art. As someone who has been doing martial arts as a child and has grown up with martial arts, Jennifer Waters, the sales and systems sensei, can testify that a booming business doing what you are passionate about is actually an incredible way to make a living. However, there are a few keys to making this a reality!
The first key to turning your side hustle into a profitable martial arts business, is getting information. So if you are not learning new ways to sell, new ways to market, new ways to actually implement systems so that you can get past 100 students to 200 students or 300 students, etc, and are not getting that information to you, then you will never be able to grow. Say for example a person who only learns two punches and three kicks and they do not know how to do anything else – any other blocks, counters, or footworks. They are only going to be as good as they can get at those few punches and kicks. Maybe that is you right now – you are really good at teaching the students that you have, but you have not learned any of those other things like block and counter, or you have not learned that there is a whole other style of martial arts that you can get into. In this case you are only allowed to grow as much as the level of information that you have. This is why you need to find ways to expand your information. Waters says she is a firm believer in reading as many leadership/business/entrepreneurial books that you can get your hands on, and then investing into coaching from business professionals that will help you get to the next level.
The next key is implementation. Now that you have got all this information and you know what you need to do, you cannot just leave it. You must now put a plan into place to slowly implement it. That really is the big difference actually – the implementation factor. This is also where most people get stuck on. They have got tons of information but they just do not know how to implement it, mostly because they got the information in a disjointed manner. They have learnt a little bit here, and a little bit there, and then they have a hard time trying to piece it together. It’s very much like some students you might enroll in your school that learnt from YouTube. They have learnt it in bits and pieces, but are not able to actually do it because they still have gaps of the techniques that they were missing, as a result of not being taught the proper way from beginning to end. Most people end up in this situation while trying to grow their martial arts business, and what you need then is a sensei to actually take you through it step by step. So if you are really serious about implementing the information that you receive, seek out that sensei who is going to coach you on how to implement the things that you have been learning.
The last key that you need to have is commitment. You have to commit to yourself that you are not just going to try it out. In the famous words of Yoda, “Do or do not. There is no try.” You must make the decision that you are going to do it no matter what, that you will put all your energy and effort into it to make it a success.
So if you are really trying to make that transition from a passion that you have as a side gig to turning it into a profitable martial arts business, you are going to need all three of the above methods put to work.
